The SAVE AFRICA’S CHILDREN has been one of our greatest supporters. Save Africa’s Children has to date donated a total of $7000. This gift made in 2 installments in July 2007 and July 2008 was given towards defraying operational costs.
MR WASHINGTON NDAGU: He is one of the earliest supporters of the school. He is a top Nairobi corporate achiever who has been instrumental in granting MoCeDET a foot hold during some of the school’s lean times. Ndagu came to the aid of the school with a grant of $ 7000. In both good and hard times Ndagu has stuck with the school and supported all her initiatives.
MR. JOHN NJENGA: Njenga is a successful Business Man in Rift Valley province. Of Kenya’s eight administrative regions, Rift valley is the largest. Mr. Njenga is the proprietor of the popular Nexus Hardware Limited and as part of his company’s outreach strategy to its community he has committed his energies at succoring the less fortunate. He has been a bulwark not just to the school’s mission but is also a great supporter of the school initiatives sometimes going out of his way to consult with the school administration even on management issues. He donated to the school some 11 double deck beds and 2 computers worth $1400.
RESOLUTION HEALTH: This regional HMO issued MoCeDET with a 1 year 2007 scholarship in support of Albert Iseyan. Albert is a deaf orphan boy in Primary Class 3 whose formal custody is held by the school. Our regards for this support go to the entire management of Resolution Health and Eunice Khimulu the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Representative.
SAFARICOM LIMITED: Kenya’s leading cellular operator, Safaricom Limited gave the school a much needed and timely boost for the highly popular MoCeDET Cycle for the Deaf event of 2007. Safaricom Sponsorship Manager, Nelly Githaka handed the school kshs.150,000.00 towards the preparations for the annual Cycle for The Deaf, which has become the school’s rallying point for public sensitization.
INTER VEG LIMITED: is horticultural produce exporter of Kenya’s farm produce to overseas markets. Inter Veg Limited has been a consistent supporter of MOCeDET by its continued weekly provision of vegetables to supplement the diet of the school.
KARTASI INDUSTRY: East Africa’s leading book manufacturer and distributor is one of the key supporters of MoCeDET. In 2007 Kartasi Industry’s took their hard-won fame as the region’s leading stationery maker to donate exercise book stocks lasting for an entire year for the school.
MINISTRY OF EDUCATION: the staff at the District Education Office in Kajiado, have been very generous with their time and advice to the school. They have shown a keen desire to support MoCeDET’s quest of educating the deaf and achieving its goals.
